2020 UKIVA Machine Vision Conference resheculed due to coronavirus

This year’s UKIVA Machine Vision Conference & Exhibition (MVC) has been cancelled due to the coronavirus situation.

Scheduled to take place on 14 May 2020, MVC was on course to be UKIVA’s largest event to date.

However, from 14 May 2020, a free-to-access Technology Presentation Hub will be available at the event website.

Moreover, MVC will return in Spring 2021, although the exact date has yet to be confirmed.

The outbreak and rapidly growing spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the UK and specific areas of mainland Europe has caused enormous disruption and uncertainly in many business communities.

As an event organiser, UKIVA has a duty of care to its staff, exhibitors and visitors alike. With more and more travel restrictions being imposed across parts of western Europe, amid the World Health Organization’s concerns regarding the spread of the virus, and with many exhibitors and visitors expected to come from overseas, it was important to act early.
