Cuddbybridge apple juice wins award

Borders-based apply juice producer Cuddbybridge is celebrating success following the Great Taste Awards where it scooped a two star win for its Braeburn varietal juice.

The criterion for the award was based on aroma, colour and flavour. Cuddybridge’s Braeburn juice ticked all the right boxes with a scent evocative of fresh apples, a well-balanced taste and pleasing colour.

Graham Stoddart, who runs Cuddybridge Apple Juice, comments: “We’re really pleased to have been awarded two stars at the Great Taste Awards. It’s been an extremely busy year for us so far so it’s great to get this recognition for our hard work.”

The awards are organised by the Guild of Fine Food, and provides the acknowledged benchmark for food and drink quality, even being described as the ‘Oscars’ of the food world. A total of 10,000 products were entered into the awards, where the judges’ blind tasted each entry. Only 31 per cent of all entries were accredited.
