Mettler-Toledo UK strengthens product inspection footing with new sales staff and event programme

Virtual and in-person channels of communication are multiplying at Mettler-Toledo Product Inspection, with a new UK sales structure in place that facilitates easier online and face-to-face interaction for manufacturers up and down the country.

The new Product Inspection Sales Team will be on hand at the PPMA Show 2021 (28th – 30th September, Booth H70) at the NEC in Birmingham.

New advanced product inspection technologies will be showcased enabling manufacturers to uphold food safety and quality standards at faster throughput rates.

Prospective and existing customers will also be able to participate in an Open House educational event scheduled for 6th and 7th October. Manufacturers will be able to attend the two-day event either face to face or virtually.

The UK Sales Team includes three new members, two on the Field Sales team (Samuel Alan Jackson, and Daniel Jorda) and one on the Inside Sales Team (Mark Roberts).

The new team members bring extensive technical sales experience to their roles, according to Baptiste Naegelen, Head of Product Inspection: “We’re delighted to welcome these new colleagues. They all have a proven track record in the field of technical sales and are ready to focus their expertise on helping customers to overcome product safety and quality assurance problems.

“We are looking forward to demonstrating the new product inspection innovations both face-to-face and virtually later this year. In the last 12 months, interest in our solutions around food safety and digitalization has significantly increased and, with our strengthened sales team, we will be able to respond much quicker to market demands”.

The full sales team and its geographical responsibilities is now as follows:

  • David Hargreaves – Scotland, North East of England and Yorkshire
  • Samuel Alan Jackson – North West of England, parts of the West Midlands and North Wales
  • Daniel Jorda – East Anglia, East Midlands and Home Counties north of London
  • Andrew Wilkinson – London, South East England and Home Counties south of London
  • Mark Roberts – Inside Sales across the UK

In addition, Mettler-Toledo is currently recruiting for sales staff for Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

All of the new team will be present to meet customers in person at the PPMA Show in September, at which Mettler-Toledo Product Inspection will be demonstrating new product inspection innovations such as a triple combination inspection system.

Extending Mettler-Toledo UK’s renewed accessibility even further, an Open House event on the 6th and 7th of October will be taking place from its new x-ray manufacturing facility in Hertfordshire.

The two-day Open House will consist of a packed programme of live seminars providing educational advice, market intelligence and insights to help food manufacturers increase product safety and operate more profitably.

New product inspection innovations will also be demonstrated and manufacturers can book 1:1 sessions to discuss their individual needs. Attendees will be able to choose to attend this COVID safe event either face-to-face or virtually.

For those customers and prospects who are keen to progress with product inspection projects that have been held back by COVID-19 restrictions, Mettler-Toledo also offers a Test Before You Invest service.

This involves live testing with real applications that can be video streamed remotely so that customers can watch from anywhere in the world, with expert inspection analysis provided afterwards.
