AI drives next phase of food product development

Starday has unveiled an AI-based platform designed to speed up food and beverage product innovation. The new system, called Starday Innovation, integrates artificial intelligence with culinary research and business data to help manufacturers identify viable product opportunities and refine concepts more efficiently.

The platform includes five key tools covering trend analysis, consumer content review, predictive demand modelling, product feedback insights, and access to a retail product database. Together, they aim to streamline research and development by offering evidence-based insights that reduce guesswork and manual analysis.

The launch follows Starday’s $11 million Series A funding round earlier this year, which supported its expansion into retail and deeper partnerships with consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands. The company continues to build a portfolio of better-for-you food brands, including Habeya, which produces allergen-free sweet potato crackers, and Cozumi, known for its gut-friendly rice blends.

Starday Innovation marks a further step in applying AI to the early stages of product creation, helping food businesses translate emerging consumer data into tangible products with greater speed and precision.
