Cereal containing live cultures hits UK shelves

A new cereal aimed at promoting gut health and digestive wellness has launched in the UK.

Launched by Nestlé Breakfast Cereals maker Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW), GoodBelly contains oat fibre and live cultures.

To meet growing consumer interest in gut health, CPW licensed the GoodBelly brand and created this new cereal.

It’s available in two flavours: ‘Wholegrain Oat Flakes with Apple, Cranberry & Pumpkin Seeds’ and ‘Wholegrain Oat Flakes with Blueberry, Banana, Pumpkin Seeds and a dash of Ginger’.

It contains no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners. The new cereal also includes Bifidobacterium Lactis Cultures (Live Cultures), which do not require refrigeration.

The new cereal is initially launching in Tesco with a phased rollout to all major retailers planned for 2020.
