Meypack spotlight packaging machine with modern features

At FachPack in September, Meypack, the specialist for efficient and customised end-packaging machines, will be presenting the VP 453 case packer to end-package folding boxes. At the show, this efficient machine will be processing folding boxes in trays with top-fitted fully enclosing lids in 5 x 1 formats.

Meypack’s VP 453 case packer is designed to end-package folding boxes containing pouches of milk powder into trays with or without lids as well as wrap-around cases. The machine can process eight different formats, although the addition of further formats is possible at a later date. During the FachPack, this well-proven, intermittently running packaging system will be on display packing folding boxes into trays with four-sided, internally glued lids. Through the precise gluing of the lid to the tray, the lid is additionally secured.

The folding boxes, which enter the machine lying down, are erected by a single track paddle chain. The paddles in the paddle chain can be adjusted in such a way that folding boxes of varying thicknesses can be processed in a gentle manner. Machine maintenance and cleaning are made easier thanks to the open construction of the Meypack case packer and down-time is reduced. Bearings, chains and linear bearings are lifetime lubricated, while the cable management, including pneumatics, is in accordance to current high industrial standards.

The integrated Nordson hotmelt ProBlue Liberty tank less technology provides long storage possibilities for the adhesive. For quality control, the machine is equipped with the newest generation of the Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 control system as well as an expanded machine analysis available through the new SIMATIC HMI Comfort Panel TP1500. In addition, the machine dynamic is heightened through the integrated, energy-saving SEW Moviaxis-Servosystem.
