JUST is partnering with Emsland Group, a German manufacturer of raw materials from vegetables, to expand its protein processing capacity.
The partnership will provide the scale needed to meet increasing global demand for the company’s plant-based egg product in the US.
Partnering with JUST to process mung bean protein – the key ingredient in JUST Egg – is a first for Emsland Group.
This is the latest step JUST has taken to boost its capacity to meet demand. In December, it acquired a 30,000-square-foot factory in Appleton, Minnesota that specialises in patented protein extraction methods for JUST Egg.
In March, it announced a host of global strategic partnerships to manufacture and distribute JUST Egg across North America, Europe, Latin America and East Asia.
