Strategic appointments for Western Mechanical Handling
(L-R) Ian Ewing and Ross Coombe

Western Mechanical Handling (WMH), a company manufacturing production process automation solutions for the food and pharma industries, has made two key appointments.

Ross Coombe has been appointed as Key Account Manager, initially taking on responsibility for one of WMH’s major clients.

In addition, he will also be tasked with building solid relationships with other key accounts.

Ian Ewing, meanwhile, has been appointed as the company’s new Systems Sales Engineer.

He will be responsible for development of WMH’s core business areas, which include loading and unloading traveling ovens, spiral cooler loading and unloading, grilling, depositing and ultrasonic cutting.

He has been with WMH since 2014, most recently in a Project Management roll where he has built good working relationships with a number of key accounts.

WMH operates from purpose-built premises in Callington, a small town on the Devon/Cornwall border 15 miles from the centre of Plymouth, where it employs 40 permanent members of staff.
