Bottled soup brand secures major investment

Re:Nourish, the grab and go, microwaveable bottled soup, has secured a £2,000,000 series A investment as part of its global expansion initiative, with the participation of Doehler Ventures and two private family offices.

The news marks a major milestone in the story of the innovative UK soup brand, which has grown 248% over the last year.

The investment will be used to spearhead the latest launches from Re:Nourish into the Middle East, Far East and other territories. The brand is the first fresh soup brand to launch into Dubai and Doha, as well as Hong Kong, this past year.

In addition to launching globally, the soup disruptor is driving growth into major UK retailers and foodservice, too, having launched into many Universities already and with an NHS launch in from this week.

Founder, CEO and entrepreneur behind Re:Nourish, Nicci Clark, said: “We are ‘souper’ committed to revolutionising the soup category and genuinely game-changing product innovation, distributed in the right channels, sits at the heart of our mission.

“Investment is key to achieving our goal of step-changing soup, enabling us to take Re:Nourish to new audiences across the UK and the world. We want people to see what soup can really be: plant based, healthy, no hidden nasties and all-round badass goodness.

“With the help of Doehler Ventures and the private investment angels, we’re building an exciting pipeline of activity. We’re talking a mix of perfect selling points: a game-changing soup, that ticks all the right nutritional boxes, and comes in the world’s first microwavable bottle for soup. This allows it to be eaten hot or cold from a bottle that can be opened, re-sealed and put back in a bag, without being too hot to handle. That’s the real magic behind Re:Nourish.”

The £2m investment builds on an investment round in September 2020 which raised £800,000 towards driving the Re:Nourish brand forward at a time when consumers are becoming increasingly health-conscious.

Clark explains: “People lead busy lives and that’s why I wanted to make something that enables them to get the nutrients they need in a way that slots seamlessly into their schedules. While life may have slowed down over the past year due to Covid-19, it’s all the more important to have vitamin boosting foods as well as packaging that means you can avoid using the bowls and spoons at work when you go back to the office.”

The Patented bottle is also fully recyclable, including bottle, label and cap, as well as carbon neutral.
