PepsiCo is diversifying its healthier snacks offering with the acquisition of BFY Brands, the maker of PopCorners snacks.
The company has been acquired for an undisclosed amount from private equity firm Permira and will see it join the Frito-Lay North America division.
Here BYF Brands will expand the snacking portfolio and further deliver on the division’s ‘Winning with Purpose’ vision to offer consumers more positive nutritious options.
“BFY Brands offers distinctive products that deliver the great taste and ingredients consumers are looking for,” said Steven Williams, CEO of PepsiCo Foods North America.
“Their production capabilities will support the growth of our existing, more-nutritious snack brands.”
