Thissampling tool removes localised variance inreflectance measurements. It is suitable forapplications such as colour analysis, materialidentification and food quality monitoring. The DR-Probe integrates a light source andcollection optics into one unit to measure 45-degreediffuse reflectance. With the probe’s collection opticsfixed in place relative to the light source, themeasurement geometry is constant. An includedstandoff accessory ensures a consistent 40 mmfocal length between the probe and the sample.Sampling uniformity increases the reliability andconsistency of measurement results. The DR-Probe has rugged, all-metalconstruction for durability in the lab or field. Its6W tungsten halogen bulb has a 10,000-hourlifetime. Compatible with Ocean Optics Visibleand NIR spectrometers and accessories, theDR-Probe integrates seamlessly into experimental setups.Bagger design lifts accuracy andspeed for changeoverA radically new design of bagging machine isbeing demonstrated at the Pro2Pac exhibition inMarch by PFM, showing howfaster and more accuratechangeover, as well as greateraccuracy and consistency inseal quality, can be achievedvia its completely revised filmhandling system. The new R-700 machineemploys a turner bar system toautomate film reel set-up,eliminating one of the mostdifficult and time-consumingtasks for operators, while alsoproviding automatic film centring, with the position held in memory andadjusted electronically during production. Also shown is the PFM Pearl flow-wrapper, an entry level servo motordriven machine developed to offer full automation for smallercompanies or dedicated short-run work.It features separate control over product infeed, film feed, and sealingmechanisms, providing quick size change and speeds up to 120 items aminute as standard, 150 in a special version. 04-07_Layout 1 01/02/2017 09:17 Page 1All new O6 series photocells optimised for harsh, hot and wet environments such as food production.
