This cuts transportcosts, especially for airfreight, and makes the pallets far easier to handle. Freight costs are furtherreduced because the space saving pallets are shallow and stack tightly so, when empty, 55pallets stack 2.4m high, meaning almost two thousand can be loaded in one Jumbo truck. Despite their light weight, CPP 110 PE pallets have impressive load capacities. They can carry adynamic load up to 1000kg and accommodate a static load of 1600kg. CPP 110 PE pallets are particularly environmentally friendly because they use 100% recycledplastic and are themselves completely recyclable. The pallet’s open design also means that less plastic is used in its manufacture, resulting in lower energyconsumption during production.Savings as potato plantgoes greenA potato processing plant in Shropshire has slashedits carbon footprint and fuel bills, after switching toLPG-powered forklift trucks.Market Drayton-based ER Birch & Sons were aimingto cut emissions and costs without compromisingperformance to load and unload one-tonne boxes ofpotatoes for sorting, grading and storage at heights ofup to six metres. The family firm settled upon LPG trucks from JofsonMitsubishi.
