All major manufacturers now run avariant of this board and it has had a significant positive effect on the environmental impact inthe distribution chain. We like to think Kite started this ball rolling when, with the help of WRAP,we produced our Enviroboard – an environmentally friendly alternative to double wallcorrugated cardboard. What new markets do you think will be the most important in thenext few years? The internet continues to grow at a rapid rate, and that is really where the market seems tobe heading. One of the key concerns for this sector is efficiency and bench velocity, Kite hashelped a number of businesses reduce the time to pack a product and in many cases doublethe number of packs an hour going through a packing bench. This not only helps improvedelivery but also reduces labour costs. What do you think will be the biggest challenges to your industry inthe next few years?Packaging is becoming more and more important to the selling of a product. Customershave an infinite choice of products from an almost infinite number of retailers, so the need tomake your brand visible and the customer experience memorable is crucial. Great brandsneed great packaging and being ‘great’ is always a challenge. That said, we do love achallenge.
