Sustainable packaging provider Xact Prepack has partnered with Spanish manufacturer Termoformas to supply the UK food industry with plastic punnets and trays made from at least 80% recycled content.
The packaging, designed for fresh produce, meat, and fish, is manufactured at Termoformas’ new facility in Alicante, Spain. In addition to standard options, Termoformas offers custom packaging solutions for retailers.
The partnership responds to increasing demand for sustainable packaging, driven by environmental concerns and the UK plastic tax. The collaboration aims to provide businesses with cost-effective, recyclable alternatives that align with circular economy principles.
