Saudi Arabia has signed an MoU with global packaging firm Sidel to assess the setup of advanced food and beverage packaging operations in the Kingdom. The deal supports localisation of high-tech manufacturing under Vision 2030, aiming to reduce reliance on imports and boost industrial self-sufficiency.
Signed in Paris during a ministerial visit, the agreement includes feasibility studies for local production and services. It reflects Saudi efforts to attract foreign investment, transfer technology, and strengthen domestic supply chains in strategic sectors.
