WD-40 expands into food-grade industrial solutions

WD-40 has launched a range of maintenance products tailored for the food and beverage processing sector. The new line includes lubricants, degreasers, and cleaners designed for use in production, packaging, storage, and distribution environments where hygiene and regulatory compliance are critical.

Among the products are a food-grade lubricant and penetrant, an electric contact cleaner suitable for food-processing facilities, and an EZ-Pod degreaser and cleaner. The company states that the line meets industry compliance standards and is designed to enhance operational efficiency while minimising downtime.

This development signals WD-40’s intent to diversify beyond its flagship product by targeting specialised industrial needs in regulated manufacturing environments. The move is part of a broader innovation strategy that aligns with the increasing demand for food-safe maintenance solutions across global supply chains.
