Phytolon, a producer of natural-coloured ingredients created via precision fermentation, has received funding from Colorcon Ventures, the corporate investment arm of Colorcon Inc. The financial terms were not disclosed.
The funding will support Phytolon’s plans to expand its natural colour portfolio into nutraceuticals and pharmaceutical applications. The company also intends to accelerate commercial rollout of its existing products in the food sector.
The investment reflects ongoing interest in sustainable and innovative solutions within the B2B ingredients and materials market, as businesses increasingly seek alternatives to synthetic additives.
