Swansea hotel group partners with Harlech to expand with Welsh produce

The Morgans Collection has secured a supply deal with Harlech Foodservice to strengthen its use of Welsh produce across its hotels in Swansea. The group currently operates Morgans Hotel, Morgans Townhouse and The Georgian Swansea, with plans to open a fourth site at Swansea Marina.

The partnership supports the group’s strategy of promoting locally sourced food across its venues, which cater to hotel guests, weddings, corporate events, and private functions. Morgans Hotel, a four-star boutique property recognised as one of Swansea’s top-rated stays, has expanded its focus on provenance under head chef Dylan Evans, who joined the group in 2022.

Harlech Foodservice supplies the group through its Carmarthen depot and is one of five distribution hubs operated by the firm. The company emphasises supporting Welsh producers and works closely with local farmers and suppliers, enabling hotels and restaurants to reduce food miles while maintaining quality.

The arrangement underpins the hotel group’s long-term growth plans in Swansea. With around 50 employees, The Morgans Collection is positioning its expansion around both hospitality excellence and regional supply chains, reflecting a broader trend of hospitality operators prioritising sustainability and local sourcing to add value for business clients and leisure guests alike.
