Tech expert Spencer Kelly set to go ‘Inside The Exhibition’ at the PPMA Total Show 2025

Automate UK, the organisers of the PPMA Total Show®, have announced that technology expert and presenter Spencer Kelly will spend a day at the event when it returns to the NEC, Birmingham in September as he goes ‘Inside the Exhibition’.

The UK’s biggest processing and packaging machinery, robotics and industrial vision event, The PPMA Total Show® 2025 will take place from 23-25 September, uniting industry professionals from across the manufacturing spectrum and offering networking opportunities, live equipment demonstrations, and valuable insight into innovative technologies.

With more than 350 exhibitors and 1,500 brands attending the event to showcase the latest cutting-edge technology and solutions available to the sector, Click presenter Spencer Kelly will be attending the first day of the show to explore his passion for technology and innovation.

The BBC’s longest serving and most experienced technology presenter and journalist and winner of the T3 Tech Personality of the Year award, Spencer has spent more than two decades travelling the world to see first hand how science and innovation is changing people’s lives.

Scott McKenna, Chief Operating Officer for Automate UK, said: “We are delighted that Spencer has chosen to go Inside the Exhibition at the PPMA Total Show® 2025. Having been the host of Click, the BBC Technology TV programme for nearly 20 years, Spencer’s passion for technology is well documented.

“His involvement in hosting the world’s first 360 show in virtual reality and the world’s first TV show filmed and edited solely on a mix of phones and tablets has cemented his reputation as one of the most trusted tech experts in the world, and we are extremely keen to hear Spencer’s take on the vast array of technology and innovations being showcased.”

Earlier this month, Founder CEO of AI and education technology firm CENTURY, Priya Lakhani OBE was confirmed as the first keynote speaker at the event, addressing attendees on day one with her AI Everything Everywhere All At Once speech.

The event will also include a live demo theatre where selected exhibitors will launch technology directly to attendees and host daily innovation tours to expand upon it.
