Divilly Brothers adopts recyclable fibre packaging for chilled meats

Galway-based Divilly Brothers has introduced its new no added nitrite ham range in high-barrier, kerbside recyclable FibreSculpt packaging from global flexible packaging company ProAmpac. The fibre-based solution reduces plastic usage while maintaining product protection, freshness, and shelf appeal.

FibreSculpt is suitable for thermoforming applications including chilled cooked meats, cold cuts, sliced cheese, and fish. The packaging contains over 90% fibre, complies with OPRL guidelines, and is recyclable in both the UK and Ireland, supporting circular economy initiatives.

The launch marks the first use of ProActive Recyclable® FibreSculpt in the Irish chilled cooked meats sector. The packaging solution aims to combine operational efficiency, product shelf life, and consumer appeal while meeting environmental objectives.

ProAmpac continues to provide high-performance, recyclable packaging technologies to help brands meet sustainability targets and differentiate products in the marketplace.
