Pakistan’s meat industry has achieved a significant milestone with its first-ever direct export agreement to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Organic Meat Company, a Pakistani firm, has secured approval to supply meat to Carrefour Supermarkets across the Emirates.
The deal follows a successful Operational Excellence Audit, where the company scored 94.89%, marking a high standard of operational performance. This approval highlights Pakistan’s improving meat processing standards and positions the country as a growing player in the international food supply chain.
This agreement is notable as it eliminates the need for intermediaries, making Pakistan’s direct entry into the UAE market a significant breakthrough. The deal also enhances Pakistan’s economic prospects by reinforcing trade ties with the UAE, paving the way for future opportunities for other meat exporters in the country.
The deal is expected to boost the profile of The Organic Meat Company, potentially leading to increased investment and future export contracts, further integrating Pakistan into global meat trade networks.
