Miko launches new premium grade Matcha powder

Miko has launched a new premium grade Matcha powder, meeting demand for elevated flavour experiences and capitalising on the health and wellness trend whilst offering a compelling alternative to coffee.

Miko’s authentic Matcha Japanese green tea is rich in antioxidants and nutrients, with an earthy, bittersweet flavour profile, providing a versatile addition to the hot and cold beverage menu.

Offering a more enduring surge of energy than coffee, thanks to the harmonious blend of caffeine and L-theanine, Matcha fosters alertness, enhances concentration, invigorates metabolism, and supports the heart’s vitality, hence its popularity with health aware consumers.

In addition to the classic Matcha Latte, try adding this magical brew to smoothies, iced teas, frappes, milkshakes, cocktails, adding SHOTT fruit concentrates for a pop of added flavour with Insta appeal.

According to Louis Dobson for Miko: “Although once considered a niche item only available in upmarket health shops, Matcha has become one of the fastest growing options on the beverage menu and a lifestyle choice due in part to its popularity with social media influencers.

“With appeal across all generations and demographics, Matcha has very quickly become a menu essential as it pairs well with both sweet and savoury taste profiles and works with all dairy and plant milks.

“We are seeing operators spinning the classic ‘hot Matcha’ to a cold drink variation, often adding a pop of extra flavour with syrups, or going all out with whipped cream and sauces.

“Matcha works incredibly well with SHOTT strawberry or raspberry fruit concentrate and coconut milk, creating a pretty, eye catching drink. Or try adding oat milk and salted caramel to introduce a more savoury twist.”

Miko Matcha is now available in 200g pouches, complementing the company’s extensive range of speciality coffees, artisan teas, SHOTT syrups and beverage making equipment for baristas, bar operators, cafes, pubs, and restaurants.
