CANPACK invests in beverage can factory expansion in Bydgoszcz, Poland

CANPACK S.A., part of the CANPACK Group, a global manufacturer of aluminium beverage cans and lids, is expanding its production plant in Bydgoszcz, Poland.

The expanded production plant is expected to create over 100 new jobs for highly skilled professionals in the region. CANPACK’s Bydgoszcz factory currently employs more than 470 people.

Marian Miskov, member of the management board of CANPACK S.A. and regional director for Poland, said: “CANPACK’s latest investment project, valued at approximately PLN 440 million, reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to the development of Poland’s packaging sector and is focused on meeting the growing demand from its European customers.

“The project will increase CANPACK’s current production capacity of aluminium beverage cans in the region by more than one billion cans annually, with further growth potential in the future.

“The planned project will involve the expansion of the plant’s infrastructure with a new production hall, the acquisition of state-of-the-art machinery and equipment, along with the upgrade of the existing production lines. Production operations are expected to start in the second quarter of 2026.”

The CANPACK factory expansion project will be led by ALSTAL Grupa Budowlana, one of Poland’s largest construction companies. The project will also involve the reconstruction of the Kobaltowa Street, including the construction of car parks, pavements and a cycle path.

Jarosław Szczupak, president of ALSTAL Grupa Budowlana, said: “Constructing the production and warehouse hall for CANPACK is a project that fits perfectly with our expertise in the industrial construction sector.

“As the General Contractor, we will build a facility with a volume exceeding 215,000 cubic meters and a floor area of nearly 19,000 square meters. This project holds special significance for us, as it is being developed in Bydgoszcz, the city where ALSTAL’s headquarters are located. We thank CANPACK for their trust – we will do our best to complete this project on time, safely and to the highest standards.”
