The Label Makers partner with Double Dutch to deliver vibrant new look for premium mixer brand

Leading label manufacturer, The Label Makers, has collaborated with Double Dutch, the award-winning premium mixer brand, to produce striking new labels as part of the company’s recent rebrand.

Double Dutch’s refreshed branding places its bold, vibrant personality at the forefront, with new bottle and label designs central to the transformation. The rebrand was driven by a desire to elevate the brand’s premium positioning and create packaging that is modern, distinctive and impactful, whether on shelf or behind the bar.

Working with packaging design specialists Boundless on the creative direction, Double Dutch set out to deliver a new look that not only captures attention visually but also improves functionality for trade customers. Once the designs were finalised, The Label Makers brought them to life in print, ensuring the labels reflected the brand’s bold, vibrant personality. A key part of the relaunch also included increasing carbonation levels by a further 15%, making Double Dutch one of the most effervescent mixers on the market.

Having worked with Double Dutch for an established period of time, The Label Makers played a crucial role in bringing the vision for the new labels to life. “We’re absolutely thrilled with the final result,” said Double Dutch co-founder, Raissa De Haas. “The new labels bring our brand to life in a more contemporary way, while retaining the colour and brand cues our customers know and love. They’ve really exceeded our expectations in terms of vibrancy, finish and overall impact.”

Ben Robinson, sales director at The Label Makers, added: “We had a lot of fun working on the redesign project, with The Label Makers and Double Dutch teams working extremely closely together – we’ll miss our weekly Teams calls! The premium nature of the label, with gold foil and emboss embellishments, played perfectly into the capabilities of our MPS presses, ensuring a smooth print process.”

As with any premium rebrand, there were technical challenges to overcome, particularly around bottle specifications, colour consistency, and ensuring print quality across different materials and finishes. “The Label Makers’ technical print expertise was invaluable in helping us translate Boundless’ designs into finished labels, resolving challenges quickly and professionally,” the Double Dutch team noted.

Known for their technical expertise and detail-focused approach, The Label Makers provided multiple rounds of sampling to ensure the labels achieved the desired premium look and feel.

The rebrand marks an exciting new chapter for Double Dutch, who are rolling out their new bottles globally and supporting the launch with high-impact campaigns across on-trade and digital channels. Looking ahead, the brand plans to continue innovating with new flavours and formats, further strengthening its presence across key markets.
